BiographyI started painting in 1970 while practising as an Architect. My main inspiration is Nature and the unique landscapes and flora of Australia - the unspoilt countryside, wilderness areas, wetlands, outback deserts and seashores. My paintings not only encapsulate the essential elements, colours and features of a particular place, but also recreate the ambience and the ‘feel’ of being there. I tend to create playful, colourful and inspiring images, which are both optimistic and spiritually uplifting. Great work Ernie, I really like "Waterbirds (676)" and "Spring fever (726)", but my absolute favortie is "Low rise (685)". What a great piece.
