| Biography | I have recently finished my Fine Art degree, I started this later in life as I have been busy raising a family for many years. My work at present is abstract paintings but I dabble with other ideas and mediums also. |
| Interests | Art of course, I love galleries and museums, its a fascination with others I think. I love the theatre you can't beat a live performance but I don't get to go as often as I would like. Oh almost forgot travel...again I came to this late in life but cant get enough of it.... |
| Music | Anything that appeals at the time, although have a weakness for Jack Johnson, Jazz and Flletwood Mac, weird combination but hey it works for me. |
| Films | All time favourite is The Rocky Horror Picture Show, but really love B&W movies and a good laugh or cry...so Frank Capra is a must and any Ealing comedy et al. |
| Television | Anyting when given the time just not reality tv or soaps please. |
| Books | A good thriller that keeps you guessing right up to the end, other than that most things when I have time as I love to read. |
| Heroes | Corney but true, my hero is my partner Dave as he has put up with so much these last few years and done so much too he is truly a star. |

Thanks B. No, not sad. That is not what I see in the piece, but after you said it I can see what you mean. Not my intent. But My intent was not to make the face "Happy" or smiling. I actually wasn't thinking emotion at all. I guess I was going for a non-expressive look. Works paint themselves at times, so I guess that is how it turned out. Thanks for checking it out and for your feedback. Keep me posted when you add new work as well. ~Marianne

Hi yes what a small world!!!!! So did you get involved in Mudeford Arts this year???? My partners mum helped to organise it and I showed one picture in ship in distress pub ( which they still have??) and one in the Avonmouth. Yes weve been many a time up the top of the head as her mum has a beach hut which we stay in on the spit, maybe you will know her mum her name is cath rogers (parish) she is well known down there!

Belinda, thanks so much for your well thought response. I really appreciate it. It gives me a great deal to think about. Since I feel I do not have enough of a collection to show a specific theme, so I'll need to be creative with how I display the different pieces. I will follow your tip. "Try a mini exhibition at home or in your studio and keep moving things as you walk past to see what flows......another thing that affects work is the space between and the height of the eye line its important to know how you want each painting viewed before you think of hanging." need to be creative with how I display the different pieces. Hi! Listen, I have about 6 months to prepare for my first solo show, and I was hoping you could assist me. I will need to have at least 30 paintings to display. If you could, with as much honesty as possible, please name 2 of my completed pieces that you feel I should definitely show. Also, please share 3 things with me, based on my current work, (remember be honest), that you would recommend to me for improving my art in general.
