BiographyI have been doing art since I was eleven. I studied art in CA & received my Assoc in Art from Fullerton Comm College in 1986. I moved to Idaho with my husband in 1991. Today I have my own business, Chick Artistic Creations, as a freelance artist and art teacher. I work primarily with colored pencil and turpenoid, but sometimes use other media as well. In 2007 I had the honor of being published in a book for the first time. A pastel portrait I did of the late Princess Diana was published in a coffee table book called "Diana in Art." This book can be ordered through Barnes & Noble & Borders. I am represented by the Sawtooth Artisan's Gift Shop in Stanley, the Vine Arts Gallery in Boise, Frame Works Gallery in Boise & Eagle, and the Gallery at Hyde Park. MusicI love almost all types of music especially Broadway Show Tunes, Pop, Gospel, Classic Rock & Roll. Favorite musicals are Phantom of the Opera and West Side Story. Favorite rock groups: Beatles & the Monkees.
FilmsI am crazy about movies! Favorites are Lord of The Rings (trilogy), Gone With The Wind, Titanic, & Ben Hur. I also love Science Fiction movies and Golden Age of Hollywood Films from 40s & 50s.
TelevisionSci-Fi TV shows like Star Trek & Dr. Who. Love Frasier reruns. I enjoy HG-TV, history documentories, and the Travel Channel. Love those reality shows that deal with art & design like Project Runway and Design Star.
BooksThe Bible, Waking the Dead by John Eldredge, 7 Habits of Highly Effective People by Steven Covey, Dune by Frank Herbert. I enjoy psychology books too.
HeroesJesus, My dad, (Robert Overmyer, a WW2 Vet), Geraint Wyn Davies (an actor and friend) Artist heros: Leonardo De Vinci, Michaelangelo, Monet & Degas.

thanx for the visit. I didn't see the "Got Nuts?" before. it reminds me one time I was feeding this chipmonk a corn-nut and little rodent bit me. I have a picture of how cute and cuddly he looked right b4 he bit me. LOL...Mark
