Biographywilliam dunn 1953- A product of middle America, I first became interested in art while a freshman at Oklahoma State University while pursuing a goal as a commercial artist. After a time working toward an undergraduate degree in fine art at Oklahoma State I left for New York to pursue a goal as an illustrator and commercial artist. In New York I was immersed in the world of fine arts becoming interested mainly in the Impressionists. After my time in New York I trudged out of the cold and into the warmth of Florida where I pursued my other passion of golf. Thirty years later with a bag full of occupations and an ever increasing passion for art I have found myself with a comfortable attitude about presenting my art to the public.
InterestsI have an interest in lots of things but I have always been centered and focus in spending all of my time trying to get proficient in art and golf.

FilmsI like any kind of film that makes you feel something or leaves you in a thinking mode. "Memoirs of a geisha"-this left me with a lot of feeling for a child who centered her whole life around a simple act of kindness from a stranger. Forest Gump, Lonesome Dove, Sophies Choice
Televisionmost of my viewing is cnn, history channel, documentaries, Democracy Now with Amy Goodman.
Books"Depths of glory"-- biographical novel about the life of French Impressionist painter Camille Pissarro. Anything by larry McMurtry
HeroesCamille Pissarro and all of the early impressionists, who I feel without them modern art would never have been launched.
