Interests and Personality

BiographyGood art is produced when the idea, the media, the artistic skills are combined with personal integrity... Here's a little about myself, I'm Phil Dalton aka Cassius Cassini. I'm a emerging artist in the contemporary art world. There is no substitute for disciplines necessary to create great visual art I believe and the principles of good design and composition are here bent to new heights. Good art is produced when the idea, the media, the artistic skills are combined with personal integrity... I have been into art ever since his childhood, was pretty much always keen in drawing comics when I was younger and always had a sketchpad with me. I studied art and design in my teens but my new unique style has developed in the past 5 years so you could pretty much call me a self-taught artist. My art is very much about colour too and I'm forever fascinated my the magic of combinations of colours, I'm working on some OP ART pieces at the moment that really explore colour.

websites are hard to find on illustrators most of the time.....i mostly came across illustrations by mistake and again through google or from art magazine information. if you search on google or yahoo for free stockphotos u might come arcoss something that takes your eye...but i think the best way to get the photos you really want is to take them yourself...this way its more focused and less time consuming .....dose not have to be a great camera just a simple standard camera would do....because the photo will be made your own after all the mixed media is added......sometimes makin mistakes pay off...so just through yourself at it...if your after seventies and eigthies illustrations and can find examples all you have to do is look at photos cds covers films and books basic research and draw or reproduce photos of your own that look the same...i will myself look through some of my art books at the weekend and get some websites for you and post them to your page.....hope this helps a little bit more.... speak to you soon .....shazi :o)

thank you so much for your kind words....yeah that adobe suite is very addictive and a very adjustable programme....is it CS2 that you have? i would not recommened books on how to use the programmes cos its easier to learn through trail and error cos u learn it your own way and pick it up better....but i would start buying computer arts projects magazine which gives many tips about illustrator and shows work from all over the world....there is also a great booked called illustraion now which contains some very creative images and gives some great ideas....i myself just go on amazon and into waterstones on the high street and look for graphic design books in the art section and also through magazines because of the free software that sometimes can be very useful and rewarding at times....i use illustrator and photoshop more for touching up scanned in art work....but i am also still learning myself how to use both programmes beacause there is always something new out for them very few months that needs to be learned and taken note off.....hope this helps and feel free to come back to my page anytime and all the best for now sharon13 :0)

Absolutely beautiful portraits. I think both "Naomi" and "Muhammad Ali" are amazing. The Ali piece is my favorite. Are these paintings? Digital? Photography?
