| Biography | I have been an artist since my very first memories. I grew up on a dead end road in a very small place in Southeastern Ohio. As a child I owned an old illustrated copy of Mother Goose Rhymes that I would carry around with me everywhere I went. I would spend hours trying to copy the illustrations exactly as I saw them. As a teenager I progressed to fantasy art and comic book illustration. Anything with an aesthetic focus on human anatomy. At this point in my life I am working mostly in black and white. I specialize in charcoal pencil portraits and I am also writing and illustrating my own book. The illustrations will be in pen and ink. My pen and ink work reflects a more cathartic and personal element to my nature as an artist, which at times could be considered psycho-sexual and, to some, disturbing. It is drawn purely from imagination with no outside references. |
