Mila Jasna! I studied under a Mr. Seth Cornwall, who in turn studied under a Russian nun in France. My style is quite different than his, but he taught me all of the essentials. Thank you for the very kind words. I enjoyed your wonderful icons as well! May God smile upon you! :-)

Hi Jasna, Wow, your Icons are great! Where did you learn? I think I liked Saint Georgius the best. What do you like most about Icon painting? What is it that inspired you to do a series? Erica

Hi Jasna.. The icons are very nice. Once I bought a book about how to paint icons as they are very reflective in the portraits positions and the colours used and how they are painted. Like there are layers of colours instead of blending the shadows for example. Icons are very spiritual and need a lot of concentration. It's not a normal painting but you have to put your mind and soul into these paintings. Monks and priests paint these kind of art to pass the message not for decorations. Sometimes figures look quite weird but they all send a spiritual message. When getting to know the profondity of such religious icons, they are so much interesting and little by little you will become more spiritual and deep into your soul. Well done :)

Hi Jasna. Thank you for your comments on my works. Very generous of you. On fossils, I didn't use frottage, unless that means print, I did use print with rice paper... On your site, i enjoyed the playfullness and innocence in many for your works esp. Tear Melon which is my favourite. Keep creating! Best wishes, Bev
