| Biography | I have many interests, but am pursuing a bachelor's currently from Penn State so I can go on to grad school and become a renowned writer of military-wife-prose and poetry. (I got my AA's in Criminal Justice and Sociology and my AS in Social Sciences from a local community college). Most of my interests these days are turned toward troop support, and my Project Fort Foto is the vehicle. Through this service project which started when I won a pageant, I send photographs or photographic greetings to deployed troops of things they aren't seeing often in the desert, like snow, flowers, flags on houses, etc. I also cross-stitch patriotic bookmarks and holiday decorations, and bake cookies for them. Calligraphy and photography are my chosen paths for expessing myself artistically. Photography I have found to be an amazing way to see the world differently and to truly see beauty in small things. Calligraphy allows me to make tangible a song or poem that before wasn't so "3d". |
