Hi Marcelo, thanks for your kind and thoughtful message. You seem to be very nice person and talented artist.I like all your work, but above all, 'Girl with a violin' and' Adam and Eve'.Those look to me as I know them from deep insight memory, like I dreamed them, I know it sound strange, but hope you will understand.
KIND REGARDS,

Marcello - saw your work when looking at Maria's. Your contemporary interpretations on traditional classic religious themes is great. Color ...surreal. Thanks.

Hi Marcello, Thanks for your comment of my work.I studied mathematics because I like the abstract logic and problems, amuses to me to solve problems of that type….later it serves that me in the daily life… and as the painting is consequence of our thoughts and feelings ..... already for 15 years I have been making abstraction.
About your work,I loved The girl with violin.
Happy 2009 and best regards. Maria

Hi SallyMae,
Wow, how nice of you. Actually, Marcello is not my real name but it's the name I sometimes use to sign my paintings. My name is Mark and I kind of combined it with Michaelangelo (not I hasten to add because I think I have any of his skill but I admire his dedication and creativity) and Donatello - so there you go. But Marcella is a lovely name. Thanks for your comments re Girl with a Violin. Best wishes to you.

Hello Marcello, love your name so much I named my daughter Marcella. Also love your 'Girl with Violin', the fabric of her dress, the patina of the door, the shadows on the chair and on the wall...really really great.

Hi Marcello .. Thanks for your comments, actually I just sort of 'live' or 'feel' the emotions before painting them. And the look of hurt is one of them. I just browse a lot on the internet to visit loads of galleries and religious images, listening to religious music and so on to get that feeling before I start. And then when I start painting I could feel the right colours to use as I emphasize a lot on the colours light and shade effect. At the moment I'm taking a break just to clear a bit my mind. And since I get back home from work very late, I cannot concentrate much on my painting so at the moment I'm just browsing the net and have loads of ideas. Then when my inspirations starts to sparkle again nothing stops me to put my mind and soul to my work :)) Hope I will have more work to come in in the future :)

Hi Margaret. Thanks for your comments. I admire your work and your website - the layout is very original. Some of your work reminds me of James Ensor's Skeletons Fighting for the Body of a Hanged Man - don't know why. Best wishes,
Mark

Susuie, one of the friends listed at your site, is ill. A get well letter would do her heart good and cheer her up a bit. We live in a world that does not apriciate art. We must care for eachother. So leave a post on he board if you have time. L John TOX

That's funny. Sounds like she feels lonely in the painting. That's so cute. You're just going to have to do another one. :) Have a nice weekend. ~Mare
