Interests and Personality

BiographyI was born in The Netherlands but my family immigrated to New Zealand in the early 80’s, where I grew up and still live. I grew up within a creative family with lots of family members involved in the arts, music and other creative professions. So it only seemed natural that I would pick up on these talents and use them myself. I attended Elam School of Fine Arts at The University of Auckland and received his Bachelor of Fine Arts. I spent another two years studying classical animation. Straight after my studies I began working in the animation industry and ended up working on exciting projects for Disney, Nelvana and other great studios. Unfortunately, the studio boss ran off with everybody’s wages and we all lost our jobs. But as the saying goes as one door closes another door opens. And so it did, I began to work as a freelance artist and that just suits me fine because I get to draw pictures all day. Visit www.onnoknuvers.com for more images and info

It’s been a while since I have exhibited due to work commitments but I have started to exhibit again in 2007. Reflections on Easter - April 2007. Stewed - 1999. Elam Studio 2 Art Show - 1997. The Pumphouse Art Sequel – 1997. Holland House Art Exhibition- 1997. Pumphouse Art Awards - 1996.
