Interests and Personality
| Biography | Canadian fine artist Sharon Doherty creates contemporary art with a scriptural meaning. Her dynamic style and international quality make her large paintings suitable for church installations, church multimedia presentations, corporate collections, private collectors, art galleries, museums and for licensing as book jackets, calendars, CDs and custom corporate usage. Doherty's powerful paintings intersect figurative expressionism and abstract art. With a growing demand for her artwork, and numerous paintings in private collections, Doherty is an emerging Canadian artist with extraordinary passion and vision. Working in all media including digital, watercolour, pastel, acrylic, oil and mixed media, Doherty's prolific body of work challenges classical concepts of religious art, stepping beyond classical religious imagery to express the mystery and metaphor of scripture in an abstracted, conceptual way. Hello Sharon, I really enjoyed visiting your site.. You've got good techniques and I can feel you send a very nice message in your work especially the ones from liturgical work. I really like your 'beloved' artwork. I also like your techniques. Keep it up

Greetings, i love love love your abortion posters, they say so much with so few words and the artwork is cosmoplolatin and sheek. Although the message has none of those qualitys. I do agree with your stance though, but i find myself in some what of the middle of the road in the end even though ive debated it and done papers on it. cheers
