BiographyI joined the navy in 2003. I didn't enlist for heroic or patriotic reasons. I was desperate to travel and finally get an education. I now have enough credits for an associate degree and am pursuing a bachelor’s in English. I’ve visited fifteen countries and many of the world's major cities. I'm currently living in Japan. Photography is a natural supplement to my travels, and I try to take an artistic approach to it. The collection I have here are only samples. I have over 5,000 unique photos.
InterestsI like to read classic novels and books about ancient cultures, esoteric mystical and scientific studies and transpersonal philosophies, write, collect classic literature and old books, view art, draw, pastel paint, take photos, sing, laugh, travel, experience new things, explore, learn, grow, try, evolve...

Thanks Michael. I ask because I am working toward creating B&W images on a level of skill and sophistication that in my opinion you have already achieved. I am using a Kodak Easyshare C340. I know its not an digital SLR but its what I have right now. I edit mine in Adobe Photoshop.

Thanks for the compliment. I am a graphic artist by trade and digital photography is fairly new to me. Do you manipulate your images in like Photoshop or some other programs to get the final look?
