| Biography | I am a self taught artist living and working in London as a part time bartender. I use recycled materials collected from car boot sales, bars where I worked, charity shops and literally from the streets and skips of London.
My work is very diverse and I favour inventiveness over artistic conventionality.
I haven't had a major solo exhibition in a gallery yet but I have exhibited at the 2004 Royal Academy of Arts Summer Exhibition where I won the BRITISH INSTITUTION AWARD for Print Category for my etching DUCKLING'S DILEMMA. My personal website is www.chitosalarza.com. |

Hello barartist, Yes my sentiments exactly ,Turn everything or anything into art! I am a Scorpio with Aries rising and moon, so I guess I have a bit of Aries in the mix:) I'm certainly impatient enough! I used to go to car boot sales when I lived in England, sadly they do not egsist here in the states. My latist thing is to go to the local dump(Tip) shop, I have found all sorts of interesting things there that I have then turned into my art. I love it. They are very beautiful indeed. I love those portraits. I can relate to you how you feel after finishing one piece of mosaic after toiling for many hours/days/months. I bet it's a satisfying feeling. Fantastic work.
