Mabye to start looking at some art magazine like Artist News Letters,You could subscribe, and follow opportunities ,if you are ready for one person show, or some group shows, competitions, awards, etc.Here in Britain I find that is the most appropriate approach, at least at the beginning, in my native Serbia I have loot of friends in art world, so it is easier.Socializing is very important, but I am not good at it.However, wish you every luck and good fortune.Best regards from Jasna.
