Interests and Personality
| Biography | I've been working on The Ocean Series for thirty years.
The Ocean Series is a Remodernist response to the color-field paintings of Mark Rothko.
The central theme in my painting is the search for stillness, the sort of profound and lucid calm that is the result of meditation or contemplation; another main theme is the relationship between humans, the ocean, and the atmosphere. The intent of my work is to create an ambiance where the spiritual dimension of this relationship can be experienced.
Once in a while a commercial gallery will invite me to do an exhibition. Solos include: Sarah Rentschler Gallery, NYC, NY, USA, 1980 Samadhi Gallery, San Francisco, CA, USA 1982 Galleria Expressiva, San Jose, COSTA RICA, 1987 Norro Gruppen Konstgallerie, Stockholm, SWEDEN, 1991 Hodgell Gallery, Sarasota, FL, USA, 1994 Sekanina Contemporary Arts, Ferrara, ITALY, 2003 Elevator Gallery, Venice Beach (LA) California, 2005. |

Of course! I never took you off of my "friends" list in the first place. No reason to get excited, just a discussion.
I have found it useful not to upset myself over anyone's negative opinion.
Really, there are only 2 possibilities: either they're right, in which case I have the opportunity to learn something, or they're wrong, in which case why should I upset myself over someone's mistaken opinion? It's all good. In either case, I decide.

It was just a bit of friendly advice. ALL CAPS is like yelling, it makes a bad impression. Apart from that, your page is fine. I would have made the suggestion in a private message if I'd known you were so, um, sensitive.

OK, If I say nice skies I have to like the water also. They go hand in hand. I grew up at the beach, your painting are what I always liked about it.
