Interests and Personality
| Biography | Jason Hugger was born in Kalamazoo, Michigan in 1973. Jason started
drawing at an early age and after high school received a scholarship to
attend Columbus College of Art and Design. Upon graduation in 1995,
Hugger traveled the country and settled in Phoenix, AZ, where a new
and growing art market exists.
Jason's paintings reflect his love of still life and landscape which he
combines to create imagery which he calls "still life as metaphor"
because they are compositions that can be visited as if they are places.
Currently Jason is enjoying his freedom after serving in the
AZ Army National Guard in Iraq. His new works are reflective
of his hardships and newfound joy. Jason is recently married and resides
in Phoenix with his wife. |

Your paintings remind me of Dali's. Very thought provoking. Thank you for serving in the Army during this unpopular war. I appreciate your family's sacrifice for defending our freedom. Congrats on getting married.
