BiographyMaria Parmo was born in Cordoba, Argentina, in 1959 and was active in art from her early childhood,including starting to study piano at age five.Her high school interest in mathematics carried into her studies at University where she majored in it for three years.Even though she had an intense interest in the subject she left the idea of having a career in it behind. But her studies in math have always given her a logical way of looking at things in the world and have had a direct influence on her artwork. In 1983 she started to paint as a self-taught artist until 1991.It was that year that she entered the Art School of Universidad Nacional de Cordoba and got her B.A. degree in 1997.Since 1995 she has exhibited in Argentina as well as internationally. Parmo’s works are in private collections of Argentina, Colombia, Costa Rica, Paraguay, U.S., Spain, Germany, Republic of Ireland and Serbia.

Maria it was a delight to discover your universe, it appeals to me very much! How do you explain the dominant "blue" throughout your work? I'm just curious because I have been in a "blue" mood for a long time. Peace

Hi Maria, I envy you your mathematical skill. I once tried reading Stephen Hawking's book but completely lost the plot after about half a page. Have a good year too and post more work soon.
