| Biography | Hi! My name Vickie Miller creator of HIPPKITTYBEADS http://hippkittybeads.com and I am a glass addict! Glass beads that is. Yes, I do MAKE the beads, (people don't seem to grasp that right away). And I also design and create jewelry with my handmade glass beads.
Although you don't hear the term used much anymore, the art is called "Lampwork", and it's been around for centuries. I first became addicted back in 2003 when I was searching for components for my fledgling jewelry designs. I bought a few artist designer beads and quickly decided this was something I had to try myself so I slowly set up my own studio in my home and my addiction began. I now am a full-time artist and I sell my beads on Ebay and my finished work at local art shows and from various places on the web. |
