| Biography | My name is Sara Diciero. I was born in Argentina in December 5th of 1949. I began to paint in 1985. I lived in Spain for 3 years (1986-1989). I have done different specialization courses. I have taken part in over 350 national and international exhibitions. My artworks were exhibited in Cultural Centres, Museums, Galleries, Art Fairs and Biennials in Argentina and in many countries. I made 25 solo exhibitions in Argentina.
My artworks were admitted in many municipal, national and private art contests where I won 48 awards.
Some artworks have a creative originality. Since 1999, I have been experimenting with the idea of lighting the artwork from behind. I use oil paint on resin or acrylic sheets to create the support of "luminous" boxes or backlights, which I then exhibit in groups like installations.
I illustrated the poetry book "Estuario: remotas estancias" of Mexican writer Reyna Armendariz Gonzalez in 2005. |
