| Biography | NEW GALLERY: THE TARAHUMARA
The Tarahumara Indians live in the Copper Canyon region of Chihuahua, Mexico, in extreme poverty. A goodly portion of the proceeds from the sales of these photos will go to helping this village.
I am below the American poverty line, which means I still have a working toilet and we're not starving, but we eat a lot of lentils, have a dial- up connection, and my cameras are a 4.0 megapixel digital and an old 35mm family camera that used to be my mom's (who is not a photographer). So I can't take a light reading- I have to eyeball everything. Thankfully, I have decent eyeballs. Currently I am a student at UVU majoring in Anthropology and minoring in History, thanks to the PEL grant. I'm married and have three daughters, two thirds of which are teenagers. They share a room. It is noisy. |
| Interests | Any creative outlet I can find, I use. Swordplay, belly dance, music, Feng Shui, and helping people who are more poverty- stricken than me. |
| Music | I play some guitar and hand drums... my husband and I and a friend are starting some kind of experimental tribal- rock band. |
| Films | Hot Fuzz, Little Miss Sunshine, Hotel Rwanda, The Last King of Scotland |
| Television | The Simpsons, My Name is Earl, Nova, Nature, Secrets of the Dead, and when I can go to a friend's house who has the Discovery Channel, I'm very happy. |
| Books | Mostly textbooks. |
| Heroes | Lots of dead people I loved in life. |

There is something very appealing about the "Breakfast Duo". I'm not quite sure why but It caught my eye and won't let go.....

The light was just right for that "metallic" effect, though it wasn't intended! It just worked out that way...

"Progress", I like the snail with the rich textured background. "Autumn Leaf", "Rainy Morning", "Grasses at Sunset" are very nice too. You have a good eye on composition and vantage point in your photography. Thanks for sharing.
