| Biography | Tonis Maniatis was born in Greece in Leika near Kalamata on Peloponnes. This area is called "Mani". There he finished the scool of economics and left Greece in 1960 to go to Stuttgart in Germany where he studied painting and fine arts. More information on his life and work can be found on

Exhibitions
In 2004 Aleka Alexanropouls wrote in several international periodicals about the Main exhibitions of Tonis Maniatis the following summary:
"Besides Athens, Patras, Avignon, Paris, Berlin and Stuttgart, Maniatis has also shown in New York in 1986, Los Angeles in 1987 and In Monte Carlo in 1990. He is a member of the International Association of Fine Arts in Baden-Wurttemberg.
He appears in ‘Greek Artists Abroad’ published by the Greek Ministry of Foreign Affairs, in ‘Livre International de Ventes’, in Fine Art Libraries in Pairs, in ‘La Cote des Peintes’ of 1996, in ‘Art Sales index’ of London and in numerous auction house catalogues.
The German auto company Daimler Benz, on the occasion of its 100 year anniversary, honored Maniatis by including him, along with Pablo Picasso, in ‘Jubiläums Ausgabe’." See also:

The most recent work "Athena 2004" was presented in an exibiton in Athens 2004 (Medal of the Organising Committee), "The nine Muses" were presented in a samll exibiton during the World Cup 2006 in Stuttgart (Distinction by the Greec Foreign Minister and invitation for an Exposition in Athens).
