| Biography | IM BACK!!!
after 18 months of near solitude in my syudio in highgate hill, im starting to get back into the art world.
a friend of mine was killed this year, one of the most sincere painters and human beings i ever came across, miss sarah skitl, and i wanna keep the art alive for her mainly.
hi to my old pals like darren who was always encouraging.
i paint on canvas, cardboard, anything i can find!
i stared out painting portraits of the writers from the beat generation like burroughs and kerouac, as well as cult figures of the psychedelic revolution such as ken kesey and timothy leary.
my work has been stolen from legendary brisbane establishment RICS bar, tagged on most surfaces of our fine city, and is now seen in west end's most far out cafe ESPRESSOHEAD on boundary road.
whoever keeps capping over my stencils on the bridge, #*@% OFF!!!!!

Trudy! Hi! Glad to hear from you! Sounds like you did a great thing by recessing into the gully! Good for you! I too have retreated from some of the chaos in my life. Trying to do too many things in too short of time... Dagwood McFadden disappeared September 2007. He got sick with exhaustion and a nervous breakdown and just faded away forever. Plus, that whole thing became too heavy and too many jealous angry people in the scene were coming down on him for unknown reasons, so he bailed out of the music scene for good. After breaking some ribs after a fall September 2008 I (Darren) am back though and have been painting and drawing and just trying to organize my art and get it to more places outside of Rochester....I had my first solo show of 366 drawings and 14 paintings in December. Also a new outside mural 13'x13'I will send you some photos of both. I have a new e-mail - dtbfineart@yahoo.com. Send me a message and I'll send along some photos. I am going to check out your myspace site (which I have not been on for a long time as the computer tends to suck my energy, but I am slowly coming out of the fog.) and hope to see your new work. I have enjoyed the paintings you sent me as they are hanging in the entry to my studio. Peace to you and your family, the best wishes for this new year and welcome back!
Darren

Hey Trudy thanks for the message - I have been a bit slack with my page and my art of late - everything is suffering at the hands of the 9-5 grind YUK!I am hoping to move to Redcliffe soon where there is a thriving arty culture. I have not been to West End in years another one of my fav places in Brissy! Best wishes for the festive season! Kyleigh (aka Jinnie Binx)

I was wondering if anyone throughout this site has ever received an enquiry from a buyer, gallery owner, or similar?
