Interests and Personality

BiographyI began painting at the age of 13 and studied art and design for my GCSE's whilst at college. One of my favourite subjects was and has always been, the ocean and sunsets and the way the two embrace at the end of the day. From the age of 16 right up to 26 I had been bouncing in and out of dead end boring jobs with little or no prospects though still painting as a hobby from time to time. In 2003 I recieved a few enquiries with people wanting to buy my work. Since then I've just kept climbing that mountain and even left my fulltime job 2 years ago to fulfill my dreams and boy was it worth it. I love my work as an artist and every single piece that I have created has told a story of my life. I recieved a lot of criticsm and for those who doubted me, and wouldn't give me the benefit of the doubt... well here I am and I'm still climbing and so far the view's beautifull.
InterestsI am inspired by the ocean and the sunsets as I consider myself lucky enough to live along the best coast in England and one of the best surf spots in Europe, and thats the north coast of Cornwall. I love the surf here and bodyboarding is another passion for me. In the summer when Im out there waiting for that perfect wave looking deep into the evening sunset, its just me in one of my paintings.
MusicI love classical music and at the moment I'm quite into Ludovico Einaudi's music. I also listen to a lot of movie scores and soundtracks as a source of inspiration. At the same time I'm a big fan of Megadeth... wow what a selection huh.
FilmsIt has to be Shawshank Redemption. Such an inspirational film about hope, feedom and the salvation that lies within.
TelevisionNo thanks. Though I do like Lost, Simpsons, Shameless and Little Britain.
Bookshmmm, well I do like a lot of Tom Clancy novels as well as the games.
HeroesThe one and only and he sits upstairs watching every step we take but yet says nothing... Then catches us out when we're not looking.

Thanks for your comments. I know what you mean about being bullied in the workplace by customers and co-workers. I used to work at Walmart and get mentally and spiritually beat up by customers everyday. I work in a college bookstore and everyone is great, very laid back and fun. I will believe in myself day and night :)
