Exhibitions
In Transitu (Latin for in transit) is an exhibition by the level 2 students from the Fine Arts course at Lasalle-SIA College of the Arts, Singapore.
This exhibition showcases a selection of the most current best works from these young and emerging artists across different disciplines - painting, sculpture, mixed media etc. While immersed in large part within their chosen specialization, at times these artists also traverse disciplines in search of their own individual voices; borrowing, combining and/or extending various elements, mediums and languages.
As the title suggests, In Transitu is a celebration of metamorphosis, framed within frozen time. For the exhibiting artists, it marks the culmination of three years of thought progression and dedicated practice, as well as a very special moment in their respective journeys as many of them transit to a whole new world. At the same time, this exhibition is a warm and open invitation for you to share in the spirit of their transition; it is - after all - as much for you as it is for them.
